The San Francisco Bay Chapter is seeking a warm and proactive volunteer coordinator to help connect and engage our growing volunteer force!
Are you a friendly and patient person with a passion for organizing? Do you love project management as much as you love people?
The San Francisco Bay Chapter is seeking a creative and energetic Volunteer Coordinator to help with the intake and retention for our growing volunteer force, so that we can be a more effective and visible presence in the San Francisco Bay area.
Responsibilities include:
- First point of contact for new volunteers
- Meet with volunteers and help place them in the appropriate campaigns/committees
- Follow up with new and current volunteers to make sure their experience is in line with what they hoped for
- Host a monthly training/welcome
- Strategize with Chapter Staff and Leaders on how best to provide volunteer opportunities to maximize effectiveness and retention
- Attend weekly 15-30 minute meetings with Chapter Director and staff
- Escalate potential conflicts to Chapter Staff
Qualities:
- This person should be warm, patient, good at followup and personal relationships, and bring an organizational skillset that can be used to help catalyze volunteer energy into meaningful action!
- Location: San Francisco Bay Chapter (primarily virtual but should live in the Bay Area)
