Sierra Club's regional Houston Group is currently searching for a volunteer Membership Chair to coordinate and recruit current and new members via intentional outreach in a variety of ways. This outreach can include volunteer coordination and recruitment activities, tabling at local events, engaging in social media and Sierra Club website outreach, greeting members and visitors at our monthly general meetings, or other Sierra Club events, and arranging periodic Sierra Socials.

The Membership Chair encourages members to renew their membership and volunteer for Sierra Club activities through direct or other contact. The Membership Chair reports to the Sierra Club Executive Committee monthly or more frequently if applicable.

The Membership Chair is a person who enjoys meeting and mingling with new people and attending various social events. This position is flexible and requires approximately 4-6 hours of work each month.
